Nekoya Cosplay Festival (猫夜祭り) is an immersive ACG (Anime, Comics, Games) themed event organized by the Japanese Culture Club UTAR Kampar. Join us at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman for a day of anime, cosplay, music, and unforgettable memories.

From electrifying stage performances to interactive game booths, from maid cafe experiences to exciting competitions, this two-days extravaganza celebrates everything we love about Japanese pop culture right here on campus.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the event open to the public?

Yes! Nekoya Cosplay Festival welcomes everyone - UTAR students and the general public. Just purchase your ticket and you're in!

Can I attend for free?

Absolutely! Entry to the vendor area is FREE for everyone. However, if you wish to watch the main stage performances, cosplay booth, mini games etc., you will need a valid Nekoya Festival ticket.

Can I cosplay at the event?

Absolutely! Cosplay is highly encouraged. We have competitions where you can showcase your cosplay.

What food options are available?

We have Maid Cafe that will be serving you food and drinks by our specially trained Maids! We also have food vendors at the outside of the hall too.

Can I leave the festival hall and come back later?

Yes, you can! Upon scanning your ticket at the entrance, you will receive an official event wristband. Simply show this to our crew at the door, and you can freely enter and exit the hall throughout the day(s) your pass is valid.

Can I take photos or record videos at the event?

Yes, photography and videography are highly encouraged! Capture those amazing cosplays and memorable moments. We just ask that you always politely ask for permission before taking photos of or with a specific cosplayer or attendee.
